FD lenses and mft mounts

Hi, my Pocket cam arrived yesterday and it was worth getting soaked in the rain in Toronto. So, I tried my 50mm 1.8 FD using a dumb FD to EOS and EOS to MFT adapter on the camera. The aperture didn't work, although the lens is manual. Do I need to do something else to make it work? The view on screen is extremely out of focus.

I have a cheapo adaptor i use for my FD lens on my pocket cam.
It really has nothing to do with your camera- need to make sure your adaptor lets you adjust aperature. I used to have a lens turbo, and I know with that that you had to do this sort of quick clockwise, counterclockwise turn when putting the lens on, so that it would engage the lens.
What kind of adaptor are you using?

I had the same issue when I first tried my Pocket Cam with an FD. as it turns out I attached the adapter wrong. The adapter has a little ring that says <-----open---closed------> and you have to make sure that you turn it to closed. Then it should work fine... Just because it appears to be on the camera correctly doesn't mean it is...

I'm using rainbow imaging aperture ring adapter and another cheapo without the adapter. Turned the thing to open, close, tried everything but it won't focus. Maybe my lens is faulty because I recently grabbed it from a local store. What I can do is try on the T4i.

Everyone wants that but they haven't given any indication for a release date. So don't hold your breath.

I'm confused, it won't focus? You mean the aperture won't adjust, right?
Yeah, maybe its the lens.

I have a cheap and nasty FD MFT adapter (that I plan to replace due to it being a loose fit) but if it is connected and turned so "On" is at the top of the lens barrel my aperture can be changed.

I just tried the lens on the T4i and it looks like that it is the lens. For the speed booster, I won't hold my breath:)

The adapter is tight, actually there is a drag while turning. I wouldn't recommend these cheap adapters because looking closely it looks like it scratched the steel mount on the camera. Its a minor scratch but its a brand new camera!
