Intalled the latest 7.3.2 beta but still cannot get the 4k working with most of my MFT lenses:
Lumix 12-35 G X Vario 2.8 - not working - has not been working before update
Leica 25 1.4 - not working - has not been working before update
Leica Nocticron 42.5 1.2 - not working - has not been working before update
Leica 12-60 2.8. - working - has been working before update
Leica 100-400 - working - has been working before update
Very disappointing.

to follow up on previous comments...

315 days since FW Ver 7.3 (April 26 2021)
265 days since FW Beta 7.3.2 (June 15 2021)
206 days since BM promised some sort of Update (August 13 2021)

Kristian Lam wrote:Quick update. Probably could expect another build sometime next week. Team has been busy with the new camera release.

I have one camera that is on 7.3.2 and cannot be downgraded, and one that thankfully still runs 6.9.

I can appreciate that maybe something has not gone to plan in this whole process. It would be great however, if someone from BM could finally admit this and offer some sort of solution or at least timeline, or at the very least a sign that they have given up.

This is getting ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!

uhm so strange, beta is only for testing, is not present on commercial cameras
if you bought today p4k you can downgrade to previous.
i had many friends that bought recently (last month no more), and all can downgrade to 6.9.6 or previous.
not more be cause at some time, bmd changed back display and newer driver are only for firmware from one number to up.
remove camera tools from computer and later install previous version, and you can downgrade...

Viltrox released a firmware update for the EF-M2 (V4) adapter today, has anyone checked what it brings? It would be nice if it could enable stabilization in Canon lenses.

And great, it took a year, but both stabilization and autofocus work!!!

This made my Lumix 45-200 and my new Olympus 100-400 functional.

I wonder why this fix never made it out of beta. Has anyone seen any problems with it?

On BMPCC4K I confirm Viltrox Adapter EM2 II firmware 4.0 with BM Firmware 7.3.2 works:
- Canon EF 24-105L F4 Stabilizer, Iris and Autofocus
- Canon EF 40 mm F2.8 Iris and Autofocus

This is great News.

I can confirm that Viltrox Ef-M2 (0.71x) w/ firmware 4.0

Is fully working (AF, Iris Control, Stabilization where applicable)
with

Sigma 18-35
Canon 50mm f 1.4
Canon 18-135
Canon 10-18

ON BMPCC 4K Fw 7.3. and 7.3.2.

HOWEVER

The FW upgrade for the Viltrox EF-M1 (this is the non Speedbooster Version) has effectively rendered the device useless. No Iris Control, nothing. Not on other MFT devices either...

Fingers crossed this will be resolved soon...

Small bug, although this might be an old one:
After recording BRAW on my BMPCC4K with my Panasonic Lumix G X Vario 12-35mm f/2.8 I, I noticed that the aperture metadata is not updated. It is always listed at 2.8, no matter the actual setting.
Apart from this, the lens appears to be fully functional. I have also noticed normal aperture metadata using other lenses with my camera.

And the only great question is whether, as usual, Viltrox will not stop working now. Maybe some beta tester will call before the rest lose what we've been waiting for by Viltrox last year. By the way, my native language - Polish - was probably introduced - can someone confirm this after the installation?

I can confirm new Camera 7.9 on BMPCC4k has better focus than the related in this post.
And gyro data works absolutely astonishing.

Viltro EF MII-2
Canon 40 mm 2.8
Canon 24-105 F4

Thanks Blackmagic Team.

Thanks for the feedback. Changes in the 7.3.2 Beta have been rolled in v7.9. I'm locking this thread now. If have any more feedback, please reference v7.9.
