In near future, IS compatibility?

My direct question to someone in blackmagic can answer for sure is ... IS ever work on lenses that have no need to be the ones with the physical switch?
I speak of the future, now no because Panasonic will not "reveal" the "secret" ... but there is something to look at to get some sort of "agreement" with her????
