Audio Dropouts on BMPCC6k Pro

PostThu Jun 17, 2021 5:29 pm

I am having audio dropouts on my bmpcc6k pro during recording interviews.
Example the interview duration is 20 minutes, but after approximately 10 minutes usually i get this kind of audio dropouts. At the beginning it works and records very well, but after some time approximately let's take 10 minites i get this sort of dropouts. I don't think that problem comes from microphone, as when i use Saramonic UwMic9 on Canon 5D Mark4 it can records in hours clear audio. I guess it's from camera.
Guys can you explain what is the reason and how can i avoid this?
Here is my settings + video example http://www.shorturl.at/uvS79

Re: Suggest best audio settings on bmpcc as i have some prob

I don't think this is an issue with the audio settings on your bmpcc 6k, it's an issue with your wireless lavs. Check here for starters: https://service.shure.com/s/article/tro ... uage=en_US

You can also do google searches for "wireless lav dropouts" to identify other potential causes and fixes.

Yes i will do so.
But here is one more thing that i missed to mention.
That interviews i was recording with two cameras 1.bmpcc6k pro 2.canon5dmark4
Audio i was recording on bmpcc6k pro, but when i got dropouts i changed and started recording audio on canon5dmark4 and it records without dropouts.

Is there a list of approved wireless microphones for bmpcc cameras like they have for SSD's?

The audio dropouts have absolutely nothing to do with the camera.
I have recorded hundreds of hours of interviews on my Blackmagic cameras with Sennheiser EW100 sets.

Which wireless system are you using here?
Saying "Thx for help!" is not a crime.
