BMCC underwater

Hi
I’m an underwater shooter and am very interested to bring the BMCC down below the surface. What I know, that is no company at the moment that is building an UW housing, but I think I can produce one in my town…

To my question…
You guys out there that have handled this piece of beauty, after you have entered what you need to enter on the touch screen, can the camera be operated just with the buttons (in prores)?
The touch screen can’t be touch during diving, so my hope is to be able operate the camera just with mechanical buttons (though the housing body).

Cheers

You can operate the camera (with many lenses -- check on specific lenses) with the remote. Maybe try it that way. That gives more freedom in designing the housing.

Not sure how deep you're planning on going (sounds like this might not be what you're looking for), but I know John Brawley used one of these with OK results:

http://www.dicapac.com/products/product ... =5&tcate=0

It is rated for only 15ft, though, so I don't think this is what your looking for.

I'm a swimmer and am thinking of picking one up to get some cool underwater shots of lap swimmers. =)

There is this thing, who looks stronger, but I think it's too small (17 cm diameter)
