Recommended Shutter Speeds (BMPCC)

PostThu Oct 24, 2013 8:26 pm

Now I trying to set second table of recommended shutter speeds for "natural" motion blur. I have the best results with the speed with decimal point in seconds (1/xx,95; 1/xx,94 etc.) at all frame rates. But it is quite subjective.

Next week I am shooting at 23.98fps in Tokyo which is 50HZ.

So by your chart I am better using 172.8 degrees?

172.8 is designed to get 1/50th of a sec exposure @24 (Or 23.98) for 50hz countries/supplies. Same thing we'd do on film cameras long ago ;)
