The program opens to a white sqaure then gives a "Blackmagic RAW player is not responding" error. This happens if I try to run the program or try to double click on a BRAW file. The issue happens with Gen 4 and Gen 5 P4K and P6K BRAW files.
RAW player used to work but I haven't tried it for a while so I don't know when the issue first began.
I am running Windows 10 (up to date) and an Nvidia RTX 3060 card with the latest Studio driver.
Windows Explorer shows BRAW file thumbnails correctly. Premiere Pro and Davinci Resolve open the files correctly.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

I was having this issue this morning using my laptop with an external monitor. After updating to the latest RAW Player and updating all my drivers didn't work, I unplugged the monitor from the laptop and plugged it back in again, which solved the problem.
Kinda irritating how on virtually every forum for almost anything I look up there's never anyone agreeing that something is a solution, but yes, the above poster who mentioned that you need to unhook the monitors to make it work again is CORRECT. I had blackmagic raw player stop working months ago for about 2 weeks and it recently happened again and I could not for the life of me remember how i got it running again. All i could remember was that it was a simple fix.
Just finished going through all the BS of uninstalling and reinstalling it over and over again, updating graphics card drivers and even updating windows OS, all the while knowing in the back of my mind that the solution is far more simple.
Unplug the monitor that the white box pops up on when you try to run the player. Then run the player with the monitor still unplugged, and it should play.
Amazing that this stupid bug is still a thing after more than a year.
I'm getting the same problem with the latest version 2.2 of the player. Therefore the Blackmagic Raw Player does not work with external monitors. Got it. P.S. The app now crashes when you try to play a file.
Interesting discovery thanks ! It might help the Blackmagic team to fix this issue.
I didn't know this bug was here for a year though, first time I hear about this and I did run BRAW player with multiple screens before
BRAW Studio FREE and Premium for Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, with a brand new Desktop .BRAW Player and Color Grader, as well as an automatic White Balance Color Picker tool
Some years after, we are unable to launch bm raw player in multi screen mode ! When does BM will work on this bug ? I think that most of BM users use multi screen.
