BMD camera went too quickly !

PostTue Jul 20, 2021 6:53 pm

hello,

I ordered my first two BMD cameras and received bmpcc4 only one week after order ! They did'nt leave me time to ask advices

I think of a light handheld rig with :
- smallrig cage
- a power bank under camera with 4h to 6h capacity (not found yet)
- side handle with T5 ssd (smallrig nato ?)

and a gimbal Zhiyun...

Any warning ?

For the power bank, I like this... gives me 3 hours on full charge.

If you're not on a cage, this is cheap and works very well... gives me 2 hours on freshly charge LP-E6 batts.

thanks Ellory, Core SWX Powerbase is exactly the model I look for.

I'm freezing T5 buy due to another thread about usb-c...

Zhiyun officially claim the BMPCC4K works with weebill, is it a good association ?

I never had any problems with using the T5 and the Smallrig holder. However, I have a bunch of CFast cards. CFast is a better solution in my opinion. I love the Anglebird 256GB cards.

+1. The T5s are fine but hard to find these days. Don’t get the T7. CFast are getting cheaper too. Might want to give that a consideration as it is a better solution.

You could take a look at the new Weebill 2, not sure what has changes sins the first weebill version that only could be balanced by using counter weights. I would recommend taking a look at Crene 2S that handles the pocket easy and balances without using counterweights, it is also has much more powerful motors.

As usual Ellory, thanks for your valuable help ;) There is a stock of T5 1Go locally.

hi Johannes, I didn't noticed this heavy fact before ! I will add some accessories (filters...) and overall weight may be critic. So your warning for strong motors is welcome.

have a nice day.
