Got the 24 mm T1.5 a couple of months ago.
Slight purple fringing is present, but is negligible and noticeable only on magnification. It can also be nearly eliminated by using a diffusion filter.
Focus breathing is also present, but I personally don’t mind it. I can say it’s equivalent to that of Arri Prime DNA lenses – I was recently rewatching Parasite, paused and replayed scenes with focus-breathing, and compared it to that present in my own footage.
Samyang’s/Rokinon’s description of the VDSLR MK2/Cine DSX lineup suggests that the new series comprises the same elements from the previous VDSLR/Cine DS line, albeit with upgraded, weather-sealed housing with new features.
I personally think it’s best suited for those who don’t own cine lenses from the previous Samyang/Rokinon lineup. For those who do, I’m not sure whether it’s a necessary upgrade, unless you specifically require lenses with weather resistance. Or if you get a good bargain on the price.
