I think there is a full list of lenses tested with the BMCC somewhere on the forum, search for it. ;)

Isn't infinity focus an issue with the 11-16?

I think that is what he is asking about. I've heard about differences in the I vs II. But I dont know myself.

We use the II version and it works perfectly with the BMCC. That said, Tokina has a strong variance from lens to lens and this could lead to differences with infinity focus so it's a risk.

I use model one without an issue with my EF mount BMCC. Infinity focus, aperture, all working.

This whole subject is why I got the Sigma 10-20 f3.5. Yeah it's a whole whopping half stop slower, but it is tack sharp, through the range.

Both version I & II can have infinity focus issues. This is not unique to the BMCC it happens on the RED and on DSLRs (tho less noticeable).

The variation is in the lens. Some are better than others. Buy from a reputable dealer, test the lens on arrival and return it if it's not working.

In my experience, Tokina lenses, at their best, fall short of tack sharp focus at any focus distance. I retired my highest end Tokina zoom when I bought the OEM version from Nikon. The difference was so dramatic, I kicked myself for going third party, and have not, since.
