Smallrig Top handle - REC/STOP

Hi guys, apologies if this has been answered elsewhere.

I'm trying to find a solution for REC/STOP in a top handle for my BMPCC6K.

Smallrig have one, however it's for Sony cameras. If I replaced this with a USB-C to USB-C cable, would it work to trigger REC?

I do understand that Nano Nucleus have a cable from the unit to the USB, but that's all I've been able to see that triggers the REC.

Any ideas? TIA

Depends on the protocol the smallrig handle uses - it MAY work, but it seems to be specific to that camera type.
