Hey guys. Right now I have a Hoya NDX8 that i use. When shooting outside it lets me open up to about f11, which is ok, but I want to open wide to like f1.4 for some awesome daylight bokah. (I like to always shoot at ASA800)
My question is....Is the Tiffen IRND 2.1 too much? Should I go with the Tiffen IRND 1.8 instead?
It's hard to just have one, all purpose ND. You will need a set of them to get a reasonable amount of control. If you get a set that is .3, .6, .9, 1.2, you can combine the .9 and 1.2 and get to 2.1. Make sure you get the white water IR NDs so that you don't have a muddy red build-up on your image.
