Battery Converter - HDMI to SDI - No timecode in SDI

PostFri Nov 01, 2013 8:36 pm

I have attached the converter to the HDMI port on my Canon C100 camera so that I can monitor it using an SDI connection to a 17" Panasonic monitor. I am getting picture and sound to the monitor but I cannot get the monitor to recognize timecode. I want to be able to utilize the timecode display function of the monitor to display timecode for the client on their monitor. I have done this for years with this monitor connected to Panasonic cameras via SDI. I have set the Canon camera to send timecode out the HDMI port by selecting a menu option to do so. As far as I can tell timecode should be there. Does the converter pass timecode through to the SDI output?
