Hi all:
This is just a very short test using Green Screen and a Teleprompter for both the BMCC and the BMPCC. I first set it up using my BMCC with my Canon L Series 24-105 F 4. For audio, I used the Juiced Link BMC360 preamp into the BMCC and into my Zoom H6. As all of you know, neither the BMCC or the BMPCC have audio meters so I really relied on my H6's meters and then mixed the sound of the BMCC in post.
The challenge for me was when I tested my BMPCC using the same lens. I had to use a different mount for the BMPCC on my Teleprompter and also an adapter (MFT's to EF) to accommodate the Canon EF lens. This also meant that I had to use something to control the Aperture since the Adapter won't do that. I used both my ISO and my Fader ND to get the right exposure.
When doing these two tests, I really didn't go out of my way to match the two cameras, but just wanted to get an idea of what it might look like. In the past, I've always used my HVX's for Green Screen that works great. I seriously doubt that I would ever use my BMPCC for anything except B roll and Stealth, but was surprised at how good it handled Green Screen.
When I have the time, I"ll do a much more serious test using someone besides myself. Here are the results.
YouTube really isn't the best way to show this kind of an experiment, but at least it will give you an idea.
