Recommended SD-Card for Video Assist 7" 12G

PostSun Sep 19, 2021 11:10 am

Hello,

I ordered an Video Assist 7" 12G and now I want to order SD cards for recording, preferably with best quality (I think UHD/50p) settings with BRAW. I tried to find a list of officially supported SD Cards on BMD website.

I want to avoid to order wrong SD card. I also want to avoid to buy expensive one if it's not really needed.

Is this card fast enough?
  • SanDisk Extreme PRO 256 GB SDXC, up to 170 MB/s, UHS-I, Klasse 10, U3, V30

Or should I rather get higher speed like that one (seems expensive...):
  • SanDisk Extreme PRO 128 GB SDXC, up to 300 MB/Sek, UHS-II, Class 10, U3
  • ProGrade SD UHS-II 256 GB Karte V90 - up to 250MB/s write speed and 300MB/s read speed

I think I should go with V90 card (250-270 MB/s write speed), or am I wrong?

I prefer 256MB capacity (will buy two since Video Assist 7" 12G has two SD-Slots).

Best regards

The latest list of recommended SD cards is found on the BMD Support webpage. Just scroll down that centre column.

Ah, didn’t think about support page. I only tried to find in product pages. Thank you very much. Just ordered 2x ProGrade SD UHS-II V90 256GB.
