Kingston SSD on 6K Pro

PostThu Sep 23, 2021 11:06 am

The Kingston XS2000 1TB SSD isn't mentioned anywhere on a list of compatible devices for the 6K Pro. Should I expect any troubles when filming directly on it?

Best regards, Uros

Who know ?
Remember that when you exit from certified device list that you must test extensively a support before to use with work
Forget every tech spec, are ever computer related and not video related.
Most of ssd reach declared speed when it’s empty, for small time, connected to a computer where lie about speed with compression tricks.

You need a support that assure you constant recording speed from first mb to the last of support. Most of device cannot do that.
I’m full of ssd that declare 300-400 mbs that reach since 120-150 mbs when you write real data video.

It cannot be recognised, due controller compatibility, can be used but slow (controller, memory, cache low), can work fine (well designed tool).

If you buy it, test a lot it.
