A list of external BMPCC4K compatible monitors

Hello people.
I'm looking for an external monitor for my BMPCC4K.
Besides the BM ones at 500$ and more, it's not easy to find some cheaper models. My worry is about compatibility. For example, I tried to send the signal to a Sony TV monitor and all worked well except the 25 fps: TV gives a black image. All other framerates works well. Another small 4'' monitor 800x480 won't give any picture, too low resolution I guess. So finding a working monitor ca be tricky.
A model who is maybe compatible is the GlobalMediaPro (New Zealnd based company):
https://www.globalmediapro.com/dp/A2L1Q2/Globalmediapro-FV756-7-inch-4K-Broadcast-Monitor/#Specifications
They don't let contact them directly.

The idea here is that every owner of a BMPCC4K respond with the model they uses, beside the BM ones.
Thanks.

Alternatively, maybe BM people can point what are the precise tech specs of the HDMI output to find the right monitor without asking them about 10'000 models...

I think you might be overthinking it. All monitors with HDMI input should work fine with the Pocket 4K (or any other HDMI outputting camera).

Maybe something like this might suit your needs?

Basically all monitors with HDMI work with the camera.
I am using Porkeys BM5 2200nit and and Porkeys LH5P 1700 nit, both are great and both have wireless Bluetooth remote control for the camera that comes in handy.

I think any monitor will work but I agree that it would be nice to see which monitors will REALLY work. For me, I really want a monitor that I can digitally zoom in to any part of the image and then auto focus to that spot. I think the camera's monitor does this (I haven't bought my cam yet but this is what I've seen on sets). I would also love a monitor that mirrors the bmpcc screen exactly so that the great UI can be used on the monitor. I've yet to find one that does that so it may be a non issue. The BM ones probably do but I'm not buying a 500 nit field monitor LOL.

I try to avoid the "should" or the "would" resulting having devices not working and less money in my pocket.
It don't work well with 2 monitors in my experience, all HDMI inputs. So I can't tell that all HDMI monitors works.

Thank you Johannes. I will look into that.

Andycine C6 for my BMPCC4K, and I'm very pleased with it so far. Hobby use for me so I can't speak as to whether it's robust enough for daily pro use.

Look out for weird local pricing conversions on the Andycine website though. I am in the UK so selected GBP for currency which showed a price of £280. But I noticed that the USD price was $280, which was way cheaper - equivalent to around £205. So I chose to buy in USD to be delivered to UK and held my breath for a few days in case that would cause a problem somehow. It arrived shortly after with no issues, so I got it for around £75 less than the advertised UK price.

Fascinating. Even with customs duties it came out cheaper? That’s a good deal.

I use the one by Feelworld for my Pocket 4K, and same thing to report – great so far, quite affordable, terrific capability, though can’t yet speak to its life cycle.

I read somewhere that Feelworld and Andycine are just different brand names for the same products, just like Samyang and Rokinon, though I don’t know how true that is.

Their products appear strikingly similar, so far as being almost identical albeit with different names for the same lines.

Customs duties seem to be entirely random here. I didn't have to pay it for the Andycine monitor so the deal was even sweeter. I have never been obliged to pay duty on various lenses and other gear I have bought from Hong Kong (for way less than UK prices). But I did get stung for something bought and sent from France recently. The delivery company required duty payment before releasing the item to me. So presumably it depends on how the vendor labels the package? Or maybe it's just luck of the draw. Sorry for the off-topic drift here...

Following this advice, I found for approx. 170$ this little thing:
PORTKEYS P6 upgrade/PT5 4k
5.5" IPS Monitor, 3D LUT/ Luma&RGB portable monitor

132 mm X 72 mm
I know the manufacturer's name is not the best and maybe not inspire confidence but the monitor is well build (plastic), touchscreen, 1920x1080, very light, delivered with 2 boxes, 2 support pieces, 1 sunhood.
Can be powered by a pugged in battery (then be way heavier), USB-A port to a big 2xout battery for the cam (like I did in my setup), or a powerbank. HDMI in and out. Only one threaded insert 1/4'' (maybe the only downside I see for now but we can roatate the display).

Built-in functions (besides what the camera can send to it) can show 1 or 3 colors Waveforms, histogram, adjustable grids, Center crosshair, 3 colors and gray channels check, false colors, frames, guides, zebras, sound levels, peaking, zooming, 3D LUT.

best you will find a portkeys LH5H (1700nits)
and you will get a bluetooth wireless touch screen camera control

newer model is the LH5P (1700 nits) or the brighter BM5 (2200 nits)
