120 frames Playback help

PostMon Oct 11, 2021 10:23 pm

Hello I am shooting liquid with my Blackmagick cinema pocket 6K
I set up the camera to do 120/23.98 FPS
When I import to Davinci Resolve the clip says that it is shoot at 23.98 and won't playback in slow motion.
Not sure what to do.
I tried with 60FPS and it works.
Should the clip properties read 120 instead of 23.98?
anybody have any ideas?

Might be a limitation in DR free. What happens if you change the fps in the Clip Attributes?
No, an iGPU is not enough, and you can't use HEVC 10 bit 4:2:2 in the free version.

To be extra sure; once you set the camera up, did you press the HFR button to put it in slow-mo mode? It could be that you've set things up correctly in the menu, but are still shooting in realtime.

That is recorded at 23.98. What you want to do is go to the camera settings - > record settings and select the 2.8K and then it will give you the option for 120fps. Then save it as a preset.

What about posting a sample?

Your screenshot does clearly say:
Blackmagic RAW 23.976 fps 2864 x 1512px
AND
Camera FPS 120.000

So I don't know what your problem is?
The shot already plays back in slow motion because the camera put the 120 fps and applied them into a 23.976 fps project.
Saying "Thx for help!" is not a crime.
