Firmware 1.1 update question

I understand the new firmware update adds IS support.. What else is added with the 1.1 update?
Thanks!
Thanks!

The v1.1 update includes DNxHD, EF Lens stabilizer support and also added more shutter angles to cater for shooting under 50 or 60Hz lighting conditions at 30fps.

Thanks for the information. I however find it funny that you are updating people on firmware for a camera that hasn't even been released, yet when people ask for information regarding the ACTUAL RELEASE of the camera so that we may actually USE the updated firmware, BMD reps are nowhere to be seen?
Sorry if this reply sounds rude, but you can imagine my frustration (don't want to speak for others) regarding the constant delays and imaginary updates to camera that in my opinion doesn't quite exist yet.

"No change" in a situation that was expected to have change last week IS useful info to many of us. I'm disappointed that there still are no VUs or F stop display.

And it is info we have. We have been told that when there is change we will be told. We have not been told of change therefore there is none to tell us. By not telling us of change they by virtue of their previous statement are telling us there is no change.
F stop display is something that's needed. Hopefully it will be here soon (at this rate it could be here before most people get their cameras).

So that's where we are at now. The supplier is due to get more glass later this week and then hopes to start up production again using new clean glass that will result in good quality sensors that we can use to start building cameras again.

And that is most disturbing because there IS change. So that's where we are at now. The supplier is due to get more glass later this week and then hopes to start up production again using new clean glass that will result in good quality sensors that we can use to start building cameras again.
"Now" was 9/25 and either the supplier got their glass and has started up production again or another projected milestone has been missed and should be explained in a new update. This "don't call us, we'll call you" strategy is maddening for many BMD customers.

Massive assumption there, that the process is immediate. No real milestone needs to have been missed for production not to have restarted yet. The info that glass has arrived is useless to us, that working sensors have been produced or the batch is once again problematic is the next stage of useful info. Getting that may well take time. This whole mess of delayed shipping etc is because BMD made statements before the info was cast iron reliable. New glass is not a real change if its defective to.
Don't get me wrong I want info as soon as possible, but I want correct info with sufficient context to avoid getting my hopes up and having them dashed again. I'm fairly sure BMD are bursting to tell us the news, but until they have concrete news I'm not sure I can blame them from waiting.

I think that's the rub: BMD is deciding what is "useful info". Regular, honest communications (even talking about the weather) would make customers feel more connected and informed. If the glass got there end of last week, we can then ask how long the supplier required to ramp up production on the "volume" batch of bad sensors (95%). If the glass didn't get there end of last week, something's wrong and needs explaining. The info that glass has arrived may be useless information to you and BMD may consider it useless information but I think many BMD customers would disagree.
