Just wondering if people think we might ever see Global Shutters on future BM cameras if only on the URSA models?

It's bizarre that they don't already have this. My fingers are crossed that they'll put this on their Komodo / Z Cam competitor that I just KNOW they are making.

They had GS on the big 4K URSA that I owned years ago. Not sure why the decided to not have it on the UMP.

My understanding is that the global shutter option impacted the dynamic range by at least a stop. The original plan with URSA may have been for a user selectable shutter so the user could decide if they wanted to prioritize global shutter or maximize dynamic range. But that never materialized.

Depending upon the camera and the active sensor area, rolling shutter speeds are reasonably fast now compared to a dozen years ago when global shutter was highly valued. I’m sure many would love to have the GS option available nonetheless. So perhaps it will happen sooner than later in response to Komodo.
