URSA 12K - 8K for 4K delivery test

PostThu Jan 27, 2022 3:07 pm

I just shot a simple video about the parts of a violin. I mainly used a macro lens. Because macro lenses are so tight, it's hard to do any moves when using them (otherwise you get a bunch of shaky footage). Rather than just living with these shots as static shots, I shot in 8k for 4k delivery so that I could add subtle moves without any resolution loss. Here are the results if you are interested...

Jason,
Nice. The URSA 12K is great for lots of things. I have also found with a good enough prime lens that 3x zoom can be had without any loss for 4K delivery. Although one thing to keep in mind is that there will be no parallax as when moving the lens and camera.
