Hi all,
New here. New to working with black magic cameras. Got no idea about v mount batteries.
Recently obtained a bmpcc 6k pro and am wondering which types of v mount batteries are safe to use with the camera. Can I use any v mount battery via a p tap to 2 pin cable? Confused when I read voltage for Anton Bauer Titan Micro 90 V mount is 14.4 Volts. Visions of exploding cameras haunt me.
Any advice greatly appreciated.
Cheers
C

Connector of Blackmagic Design cameras (ursa/pockets/original cameras) accept from 12 to 20v, you can connect without fear.
I use a plate to convert battery to 12-9-5v to power different tool, but technically you can connect dtap to weipu without problem (I do with ursa with dtap to xlr to have dual battery setup and shoot without limits of duration.

is the second time it happened. For some reason the power from 2 pin power connector does not work neither if dummy battery lp is used as well.
rare way to turn camera on is this:
using a external v-tap battery feeding power into external monitor then hdmi to camera and also leave connected the v-tap to 2 pin power connector then it seems to work. However if any of this ( HDMI, power from battery to camera or power to monitor ) is disconnected then turns off.
any help please
