400$ off Merlin 2

PostWed Dec 11, 2013 5:10 pm

...that's the deal on BH. The last time I've tried using a stabilizer I almost went nuts. Is the Merlin 2 worth the time and efforts?

If you don't have the patience and huge interest/passion (or at least stubbornes) for it, you'll go nuts with Merlin 2 as well.
There's no magic in the way of handling it, just the same as any other stabilizer, a lot of training and practice, and your camera will start floating ;)

The Merlin 2 is not worth it, in my opinion. It's not very stable. See my "flawed design" review at B&H. I'm doing much better with the Glidecam HD-2000.

If the Pocket had a good LCD the Merlin 2 would be great but the LCD sucks and will be a problem with the Merlin 2
