Sigma lenses with Pocket

PostSat Dec 14, 2013 3:10 pm

Hi everyone,

I'm gonna buy the Pocket cam soon and I was wondering what's the situation with Sigma lenses (19mm, 30mm etc) at the moment. Are they working with pocket properly or not?

The Sigma lenses with a micro four thirds mount should work on the active MFT mount of the BMPCC as advertised. The rectilinear lenses will also suffer from less distortion than their corresponding Panasonic and Olympus micro four thirds lenses that rely on in-camera corrections when you mount them on a genuine Panasonic or Olympus micro four thirds camera.

Hi there. Unfortunately the active mount is not compatible with Sigma lenses - I have both the 19mm and 30mm. Manual focus is fine, but you'll need a variable ND if you want to change exposure - the iris control is inactive. Cheers. B
