Power connection rewire

PostSun Jul 24, 2022 1:26 pm

Hi everyone, I did some searching but couldn't find much on this. Have a BMPCC6k PRO. I was wondering if it would be safe to run wiring "camera>2pin WEIPU>2.5mm female barrel>>>2.5 mm male Barrel>DTAP>battery" or is that a bad idea? ..thanks much and hope the rest of the weekend is good out there..

As long as the polarity isn't mixed up I don't see why this would be an issue. I'm not the most knowledgeable about these cameras, but I power my BMPCC 4K off my car's 12v system from Amazon parts.

Apologies on the confusion. 2 pin WEIPU is just the power connector to the camera. Im just looking for a way to quickly plug in and unplug power cable without digging it out of the jumble of wires going into the camera, so I dont have to unplug the USB, HDMI etc. I have fat fingers:)

I think the OP is referring to a solution like this. I’d want to use a locking connector of some sort, a ta3f or maybe something threaded. This solution would be simple to unplug accidentally as well.

Good Luck

yes this is EXACTLY what I was looking for. I dont see any reason why the voltage nor amperage required couldn't be sent through this. I could mount that barrel under the rig frame and just pop it on and off as needed. thanks much
