ZOOM Demand doesn't work with BMPCC 4k

So the update video for the BMPCC's says that zoom demand and focus demand was added for all BMPCC's, but it looks like it's just for the 6k models. I purchased a lens and the zoom demand for my BMPCC 4k thinking it would work and it doesn't. After seeing it didn't work I looked at the notes to the update and it says that the update was for just the 6k models and not the 4k model, even though the update video says it's for all the BMPCC's. Is there plans in the future to add this to the 4k models or did I just waste a bunch of money???
