Camera - can I remove rubber protection without destruction?

PostSun Jul 31, 2022 7:42 am

Hi !

Blackmagic Camera has a "rubber protection" for the connections.
What you think, can I pull them out without destroy them so I can push them in later?
I don't need them for studio work, better to get them down..
See the pics what I mean.

thank you!

Yes, this can be done, I have taken them out for my PCC4Ks too.
Just pinch your fingers as close as possible to the case and squeeze the rubber leading into the camera. Gently pull - you will feel the resistance, pull a bit harder and it will come out. It is normal that during this process the rubber gets a bit stretched.
Saying "Thx for help!" is not a crime.
