SD CARD HELP!! Only formats 15mb??

PostTue Aug 02, 2022 1:47 pm

I go to format the SD card, Lexar 128gb 300mb/sec, in the camera and it formats 15 mb, only about 9 mins of record time. I went on the mac disk utility, erased it, exfat then Mac OS, popped it in the camera, both same thing. Only 15 mb available. Is this a firmware issue? I havent seen anybody else have this problem. Oh and i have 2 cameras and it does it to both of them. Thank you for any assistance

Could it be a counterfeit card?

Which camera, specifically, and did this card work before you updated the firmware?
Resolve 19 Studio, M2 MacBook Air with 24 gigs of RAM; also Mac Pro 3.0 GHz 8-core, 32 gigs RAM, dual AMD D700 GPU.

Try to clean it on Mac with the Terminal.

If you have Windows, I find that works better with 'diskpart' and the "clean" command before formatting again. Sometimes I've found that they become corrupted from all the formats in camera or they have remnant partitions that the disk utility GUI isn't removing.
