As the title says - can you use EF-S lenses on the Pocket 6K G2?

I use them on my first gen 6K so assumed that the G2 would be the same. However, the recent Digital Camera World review (https://www.digitalcameraworld.com/uk/r ... mera-6k-g2) stated "Sadly, EF-S lenses don’t fit – a shame, since they’re a perfect fit for the Super35 format."

Conversely, Wolfcrow's review of the Pocket 6K Pro said that camera does take EF-S lenses - and surely it has the same body as the G2?

I contacted Rod Lawton at Digital Camera World and he said that he had been advised by Blackmagic Design that EF-S are not compatible with the 6K G2.

So was the mount changed on the 6K from the 6K G1 and 6K Pro?

EF is now out of patent.

EF-S is still protected.

So officially BMD can never say it’s supported.

So broadly speaking you can put an EF-S mount on an EF mount BMD camera.

Some lenses may not cover though. So the 17-55 F2.8 vignettes a little in the middle of the zoom range on my G2 Ursa Mini.

But it still works. It’s just the corners go a bit dark in the middle.
