Smallrig for 6k G2

That's what I thoutgh. But Smallrig states that this cage is not compatibe with G2...

That might be a misunderstanding. The G2 is identical with the Pro from the outside, the only difference are screen brightness and missing internal NDs.
My disaster protection: export a .drp file to a physically separated storage regularly.
