BMPCC4K iris control issues with 7.9.1

Hi there,

Just wanted to share some info and I'm wondering if other people have (had) the same issue...

I found out that my camera caused an error while under firmware version 7.9.1. On startup, everything works fine, but when I change lenses, no iris information is shown on the display and image stabilisation from the lens is not working properly. I can't change the iris of the lens either.

I use EF lenses (Canon EF and Zeiss ZE) with a Metabones EF-MFT Speed Booster XL 0.64x (with its most recent firmware). The only fix is to turn the camera off and on again - very time consuming.

Today, I downgraded the firmware back to 7.9 and everything works fine again. I'm hoping this is something to be addressed in a possible upcoming firmware upgrade.

Did anybody else experience this issue?

Best, Wilbert

I am having this same issue, not good!
I have two pocket cinemas. One with version 6.91, and second with 7.3
I am currently using a Viltrox 0.71x EF-M2 (EF to 4/3) Speed booster. The version 6.91 works just fine, but the 7.3 version does not recognize the iris.
Is Black Magic working on resolving this issue? I don't think it was wise to forget this feature since speed boosters are used by many people. I am afraid to install updates on both cameras now.

YES! I am updated to 7.9.1 and my Canon 24-105mm has no Iris control. I hope this issue is fixed soon. This was a major bummer.
