URSA MINI 4K
Hello I had issues with my Ursa and sent it to my Ursa branch in UK for repair However they told me my sensor has issues and because it is a off line product the sensor is not replaceable however I spoke to a third party who claimed that it may be repaiable.Is this possible or am I just waisting my money in finding out? here is the message B/M sent me : We were able to replicate the behaviour and a corrupt signal was visible on both the LCD and the SDI outputs. This suggests it was sensor related.
Following this, we opened the camera to clean and reseat the ribbon cable for the sensor output and after this, the behaviour was still present.
I am sorry to say that this behaviour is caused by the sensor assembly itself and this is something we are unable to replace for the end-of-line cameras.
As it is out of warrant, I am sorry to say that this is not covered with us. I would suggest contacting insurers if you have cover for the unit.
At this time we can return the camera to you at the cost of shipping or if you wish we can dispose of the unit in our lab.
