Original BMPCC (1080p) SD card compatibility

PostTue Sep 20, 2022 7:17 am

I am looking for a new card for my old 1080p BMPCC. I am currently using a SanDisk Extreme PRO 95MB/S SDXC1 card which I bought around the same time as the camera (around 2015). I read on another thread that newer versions of SanDisk cards aren't compatible with the old versions of BMPCC. I assume that writing speeds more than 95MB/s aren't compatible either?

The safest bet right now is a 128 GB AV Pro card ordered directly from Angelbird, as the company explicitly lists that one card in that one capacity as being compatible with the original BMPCC: https://www.angelbird.com/prod/av-pro-s ... tegory=286

Other (often less expensive) cards have been tested as working for a variety of users but different users are having different experiences with them, likely due to differences from one camera to the next (even though the same model): viewtopic.php?f=2&t=91479

I will check the Angelbird card. Thank you for your reply!
