12G Video Assist Down Convert 4K to HD - Feature Request

There are lot of threads throughout this forum that mention this but I thought it might help to dedicate a post with a clear title.

The 12G Video Assists will only OUTPUT at the same resolution as the INPUT. This includes cross-conversions between SDI and HDMI.

BMD, Please add the ability to DOWN CONVERT 4K INPUT to HD OUTPUT while recording 4K on the VA.

With this feature we could:

• Use HD wireless transmitters
• Record HD Proxies on an additional recorder
• Use HD monitors

We are still waiting for this to happen.
The only way to have a downconverted output right now is when you are shooting in Raw. They cannot loop a raw signal so they had to activate it (showing that it was only a commercial decision not to include it before). The video assist automatically downconvert it to a FHD signal in this case, shooting BRAW.
