Is 45 Mb/s really good for ProRes on Pocket

I am about to shoot an one hour concert with my Pocket and don't want to change card during the show.
Blackmagic says that Sandisk 128GB Extreme SDXC UHS-I would be fine for ProRes.
I am sure they are right but wonder if anyone can confirm that this can be done for one hour.
It is only 45 Mb/sec.

thanks

Peter

It is always advised to not try to fill up a memory card/ssd as they rarely can perform properly when close to their maximum capacity. This is a characteristic not exclusive to BMD products.

As such, I would strongly advise that you test in advance as to whether a 1 hour single take is possible without it stopping recording, rather than risk it based on mathematical calculations.

Better to be safe than sorry :-)

I have been using the 45 mb/s sandisk extreme 128 gb card (the yellow labeled one) for several hour-long recordings during december - never had a single dropped frame, but i also never cam near the maximum capacity, mostly around 100 gb.

I can recommend this card to anyone who only needs ProRes, it's a reliable, stable and affordable card offering 1h+ recording space.
