Just received my BMCCs...

PostSat Jan 04, 2014 4:54 am

I just got my BMCCs... One in EF and one in MFT.

Is there a "checklist" you guys suggest I do to make sure everything is up to snuff? I already turned the camera on with the cap on... no "stars" so I should be good on that front, right?

Is there a checklist of things I should do to make sure I don't have a "dud"?

Start recording footage in raw and ProRes, and if you see anything unusual, let us know.

I'd like a more objective way to go about it... That would help a lot.

I'm on my third camera right now.. All three have suffered banding to some degree or another, the latest one being the cleanest I've had.

Film a properly lit scene, properly exposed.

Can you see banding?
