grid pattern - BMPCC

Hello,

About the Pocket, more and more people send me messages about "grid pattern" that appears on the "pink flares."
Now it is no longer isolated problem.
Now, Blackmagic support acknowledged the problem.
For us, despite all the great qualities of this camera, we can not predict shooting as this real problem will not be solved.
Today it is difficult to say how this defect is common, but every week 2-3 new contact tells me the discovery of this problem in post-production.
Important, please report this to the Blackmagic support.
Fingers crossed for the arrival of the firmware should fix everything!

Christophe

No need for another thread as it's been discussed here:

BM have stated they are aware of the issue and are looking into it. Most of Australia closes down over the festive season so I doubt much work has been done on the firmware but I'm sure there will be some sort of fix coming.

In the meantime it's easy to fix in post. Simple move your footage 0.5 pixels up and 0.5 pixels left or right in your NLE or in Resolve and the grid will disappear. Yes the image will become very slightly softer but as the image has flare in it you won't even notice.
