I wish that BMD would do some in-camera processing like Kinefinity does to get that Alexa-like look that Kinefinity has. As far as I understand, Kinefinity uses Sony sensors, and the Pocket 6K is a Sony sensor, perhaps the same one in the Mavo S35, and yet Kinefiinty is able to pull off some cinema magic with it that beats Pocket 6K image (in my opinion). I think the Mavo LF sensor is same as FX9, or similar. I don't know what Kinefinity is doing, but whatever it is, the cameras' sure render pretty images. And they do it with ProRes.
Frankly, BRAW is cool, but most TV commercial DPs that shoot on Alexa use ProRes 422HQ and when they want the best they use ProRes4444. Rarely does anyone use ARRIRAW. I would prefer an in-camera ProRes processed image that is pretty like Kinefinity over BRAW. Of course with the ProRes4444 option which the Pocket 6K doesn't have.
Don't get me wrong, the Pocket 6K produces beautiful images, but the Mavo S35 is just a little prettier.
God please, I hope the new camera is not a PTZ with the 6K sensor. Boring.
