Canon ef 24-70 mm 1:4 L IS USM

PostFri Mar 17, 2023 9:17 am

Hi,
I'm new to Blackmagic and just bought a Pocket 6k Pro. I already have a lens that I use for my still camera, and have tried using this for my BlackMagic camera. The lens is a canon EF 24-70 mm 1:4 L IS USM. Has anyone used this lens with good results?

There is ONLY one way to find out, test it yourself. You know what type of image you want from a lens.

I have used that combo with good results. The optical image stabilization of the lens is pretty good and isn't as much in the way as it can be on other still lenses. No hard focus stops though, but it's not bad at all if you need a lens for hand-held shots.

It's a good lens. Often overlooked due to it's 2.8 big brother but it's much lighter, smaller and has IS. I use it on my P6k. Not quite as good as the 16-35 F4 IS USM or the 70-200 F4 IS USM but fills in the gap
