Potential Charging Problem?

PostMon Jan 20, 2014 10:39 pm

How long does the BMCC take to charge?

When I got it, the EF mount had ~50% charge. Plugged it in and it has the "thunder" icon on the battery and jumps to 75%. I left it plugged in for appx. 45 minutes... unplugged it and it dropped down again to 50%.

Is this normal? Does it need to be charged way longer or what?

Do I need to charge it while it is turned off?

The normal full charge time is about 2 hours. As far as the meter goes, that's normal. From my understanding, when the battery gets to a certain point, it will show the base percentage. For example, the battery could very well be around 90% but the icon on the panel on the back would show 75%.

Yeah, 2 hours sounds right. I always leave it in overnight before a gig, plus I use an external.
