When I try to adjust the headphone value its only either on or off (slider all the way left).
Moving the slider does not adjust loudness in any way.
Latest Firmware 8.1
Tried with Sennheiser HD25 as well with some other in ear headphones.

Just a very silly guess: Is it possible that you accidentally mixed up the headphone jack and 3.5mm mic jack?

Thanks for the heads up. But no. The mic and xlr1 ports are in use and working. And I also got audio, which I would not get on the mic input.

You could save your camera settings into a preset and then in the settings menu on the last page do a camera factory reset. See if that solves the issue.

I have this same issue!
There is a very slight difference between 100% and 1% but not much. 0% cuts off the headphone output altogether, but 1% is very loud!
Does anyone have a solution?

Has no one else experienced this with the BMPCC6K? It's really frustrating as the level is loud.

I've tested this with my BMPCC6k Pro on firmware 7.9.1 - works as expected.
Can you downgrade your firmware for a test?

Thanks, I will try that. Is it easy to roll back the firmware, can I just install the older version?

Yes, should be no problem.
Uninstall the new camera software on your computer, reboot, then install the older software.
Connect your camera and you should be able to downgrade.
