Help!! Red Bars Since Upgrading to Blackmagic_RAW_3.3

PostThu Sep 07, 2023 7:31 am

Hi All

I shot some footage on a live event tw0 weekend agon on latest black magic cinema 4k cameras. The are brand new. When I tried to load the footage into Premiere it did nor recognise the raw files from blackmagic. So I update to latest Blackmagic_RAW_3.3 codec so i start the editing process. I did this in preparation so I can continue editing this footage next week after finishing my current project

This morning i wanted to continue finish a editing the brand video of another client and all my blackmagic raw footage has red bars. This project was dshot on my own black magic cinema 4k camera which is an older model.

I am using premiere pro 2023 and I am editing on a mac, os big sur.

Do these show in the camera too? Or in DR?

Not sure if you checked this already but I would load the latest camera firmware for the BMPCC4K. It’s possible the new cameras didn’t ship with the last update. Double check that the latest Resolve is being used and it’s compatible with Big Sur.

I’d go for Monterey if the machine is not too old.

I use Monterey successfully but I’m going to have to prepare a more thorough test with BRAW 3.3 before my next shoots to ensure the issue is not appearing.
