Kingston 480 GB HyperX 3K - FEEDBACK PLEASE!

PostFri Feb 21, 2014 11:00 am

Hey there,

So I'm about to order up four of these, but thought it was worth checking in here before pressing that Amazon Prime button!

Has anyone had any issues with the Kingston 480 GB HyperX 3K? For 300gbp a pop they seem pretty good value, but value usually comes at a cost, right!?

Hoping they won't give me any issue with 4K 'RAW'.

I'm using these with my 4k no issues I can see yet but I'm still testing.

We at DreamHack have now over 100 of these and only 1 RMA so far.
Very good SSDs. Good shell. Recommended.

I have the Kingston HyperX 3K 240GB. it seems to work fine with the BMPC. but unfortunately no one can tell if it will be good for 4k raw since we dont have raw yet.

I would recommend you to get one of these ( or maybe two, depending on your needs) and work with them, until we have RAW.

Here are the SSDs approved for the BMCC uncompressed raw. The data rates for compressed raw on the BMPC4K are likely to be similar but as you know, BMD has not published their recommendations for raw on that camera yet given compressed raw has not been released.

Kingston 240 GB HyperX 3K (SH103S3/240G)
