Any Full Cage Known For Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K?

There doesn't seem to be any product available at the moment, with the exception of the MID49 Cage for the Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K, which seems (to me) more like a toy than a useful accessory to me. And it is only a half cage.

Is there really nothing?

I'm still waiting for SmallRig to release one. Same here, as far as not seeing anything available but Mid49, which is a bit pricey for my cheapness.

I've seen the 8Sinn one a couple of weeks ago but could'nt recommend it as it is very basic and only half cage for those who want a full cage instead. If you add the optional clamp at $134 it quite a marked up price compare to Smallrig. Mid49 for me looks more useable but they have not yet come up with a battery power solution that fit nicely to their cage. I'm thinking a top plate they use for drone work can be replaced with a V mount for smaller V mount battery.

And no lens mount support as far as I can tell, which.... sucks. Because the whole idea of the L-mount is the adaptability using different mounts...
Not sure if this cage is the best option then.

Shape WLB will be launching their version soon. They sent me some photos over instagram and it looks good. Theyll also have a version that protects the battery pack.

After checking their previous models, I believe the only downside might be the cost... Almost double of what Tilta charges. I guess thats the price you pay (no pun intended) with smaller companies.

What I dont like about Tilta, is their proprietary attachment holes. Which excludes any other company accessories...

I bought the Mid49 cage for the FF and it’s badass. Definitely worth the money. Very high quality precision engineering. Love it! I bought the cage with the handle but use a different baseplate that I already owned. Remember the Mid49 guys is the founder of Wooden Camera.

Jeez, that Mid49 stuff costs as much as the camera. Has anyone used the Shape cage? I've got other pieces from various setups I'd like to reuse if possible.

No it doesn't, you can get the cage with a handle for about 400 USD. I've used Smallrig cages for years and there was little design things that made no sense. But it's very well made definitely a step above the cages. But it just depends what you want to get out of using your camera.

A bit of a bum that the new 6K FF Smallrig cage does not take the battery grip unlike the BMPCC6K Pro cage that does.
