External power for BMCC6K?

New to cameras. Just purchased the BMCC6K. For the connections the USB C port is occupied for recording to a Samsung T9.
Can I connect a battery source (V-mount or NP-F) to the 12V port for power?
If not, how to connect externl battery power to this?
