Food and Drink Appetite Appeal - Camera and Lens advice for

PostWed Jan 31, 2024 10:39 pm

Hello,
Just joined the forum in hope of some experienced advice as I’m fairly new to this. I’m looking to purchase my first BM camera - my focus is drinks ( beer and soft drinks) and packaged food (jams and spreads) advertising so will need to be able to shoot really appetising food and drink shots as well as film talent scenes. Am considering both the BMPC6k pro with the sigma art 1.8 18-35mm lens and the Canon 100mm Macro lens or the BMCC6k full frame with a 24-70mm FF lens and also the Canon 100mm macro.

I realise lighting and camera movement will play a big role here but would be grateful for advice from anyone with experience in this area on which camera and lenses will be best suited for my needs (and get me a few extra % in image quality). Any extra advice welcome.

Thanks very much for your help.

Best J

Considering your food shots will be lit very well, the BMCC6K may be an ideal fit for purpose.
