URSA G2 Broadcast with a malfunctioning LCD display

PostSat Feb 03, 2024 7:42 am

Hello everyone,

This is my first post here, so please let me know if I've overlooked any steps.

I work at an educational institution in the UK, and we recently upgraded our on-campus TV studio with three URSA G2 Broadcast cameras, replacing our older JVC units. They have been working flawlessly and integrate well with our TriCaster system. However Image, we encountered an issue when a student, using one of the cameras on a tripod, had the leg collapse, causing the camera to fall and damage its LCD monitor. Although the hinge is intact, the housing of the monitor unit is cracked. Upon closer inspection, all ribbon cables are connected correctly, the unit receives power, the external display lights up, and the camera still outputs to an external monitor. Unfortunately, we are now unable to access any menu settings.

Can you contact your regional BMD Support and return the camera for a repair?

Since you are located in the UK, it should be easy to sort this out with BM.
Now that the cat #19 is out of the bag, test it as much as you can and use the subforum.
