I would like to see a feature where I can store black shading map sometime before the shot from sensor. And obviously a software tool in resolve to remove it.

The target of request is to avoid in some situation the FPN of some sensors.
I know Red had it in camera, I understand that they can’t change Blackmagic Design cameras to add this, but could be organized :-)

I think something like :

If sensor detect some lowlight (istogram and false color give simple data to check it), it proposes to save black shading data’s putting cap on camera.

Record data’s, stop ready to record shooting.
It record date and hour, and after xx time which could change FPN due temperature or others factor, at next shooting ask or not to record additional black shading data’s.

On resolve I know there is some technique to subtract (blending) this black shading data’s from shooting to correct correctly this kind of problem.

If there is by metadata association of shooting // black shading data’s or simple an Ofx that read that data’s and use it we could solve a lots of problems.

I talk about red be cause if you not do black shading in some red I used, you can see a strong FPN.

Obviously an optional feature, only who know and desire to use it, enable it. Like BT that I ever off be cause I not use it. :-)
