Got Problems with Your USB Cables? - Check This Out

USB / Thunderbolt connection issues?
This really explains a lot.

Makes me wonder about some of the other cables.

Thanks, that video is pretty interesting. I liked Jon Bruner’s analogy at 3:39 with XLR cables. He actually means Quad Star XLR cables. I just ordered some XLR cables on Friday, and paid more for Quad Star because the benefit is real, not snake oil. I also buy Apple’s own Thunderbolt cables.

I like the Canare Quad Star cables too. The Kopul Premier Quad Pro 5000 Series knock-offs are cheaper though

Eye-opener video. Never thought such basic things were so complex.

Thanks for sharing.

I knew there was a logic board in there but I found the complexity of the physical elements quite astounding including the ‘wave’ to ensure the electrical paths of inside lines matched the length of outside lines. Very high accuracy for high speed signal processing.
