gyro data on anamorphics

For the sake of accurate gyro stabilization with anamorphic lenses, do I enter the focal length of the lens into the metadata or do I enter the de squeezed field of view?

I'm pretty sure that when using anamorphic mode the squeeze should be accounted for in the metadata. So, if this is the case then you should be fine putting in the focal length of the anamorphic lens.

So how does that amount for the fact that a bunch of squeeze factors (1.8, 1.5) are not able to be set?

I haven’t tested it, but I’d simply enter the stated focal length of the lens you are using in the metadata. No calculation or other allowance related to the squeeze needed.

Well, I'm guessing for 2X Anamorphic only because that is the only one. At least the only one I've used. I'll have to borrow my buddy's Pavo Anamorphic lenses and test this on my P6KPro to know for sure.

Pocket 4k, Sirui Mars set (17, 35, 50, 75mm). Squeezing factor is 1.3 in metadata and lenses. I don't change anything, and the gyro tracking works good.

Gyroflow:
I had some better results with the gyroflow OFX, but I can only use the profiles that come with the software. Attempts to calibrate lenses to my 4k DCI 24fps workflow always crashes the gyroflow software.

Therefore I stick with Resolve's gyro-tracking. It is quite good, and easy to apply.
